Belarus wins junior trampoline gold in Japan

MINSK, 6 December (BelTA) – Sebastyan Stankevich of Belarus clinched the Men Individual gold at the FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions in Japan, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Gymnastics Association.

The Belarusian scored a total of 57,020 points. Silver went to Japan (56,900 points). Bronze was collected by Belarus' Stanislav Yaskevich (55,890 points).

In the women's event Viktoriya Kuidan clinched bronze, Yekaterina Yershova placed fifth, Aleksandra Stolyarova was eighth.

Earlier, Belarus' Viktor Antipenko scored a total of 35,200 points to take bronze in the Tumbling event (15-16-year olds).

The FIG Trampoline Gymnastics World Age Group Competitions are taking place at the Ariake Gymnastics Center in Tokyo through 8 December. Competing for medals in Individual, Synchro, Tumbling, and Double Mini events are 800 young athletes from 40 countries.
