Belarus wins 7 medals at FIG World Challenge Cup 2018 in Minsk

MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Belarus won seven medals at the FIG World Challenge Cup 2018 in Minsk, BelTA informs.

Katsiaryna Halkina claimed gold with the Hoop scoring 19,750 points. Aleksandra Soldatova of Russia placed second with 19,150 points. Ukraine' Vlada Nikolchenko took bronze with 19,100 points. Katsiaryna Halkina also won bronze in the Individual All-Around and bronze with the Ribbon.

Anastasia Salos of Belarus clinched silver with the Ball and bronze with the Clubs.

In the group events the Belarusian team of Anna Gaidukevich, Lolita Matskevich, Diana Misyuchenko, Anastasia Rybakova and Anna Shvaiba collected bronze with Five Hoops and bronze with Three Balls/Two Ropes.

The FIG World Challenge Cup 2018 welcomed more than 200 gymnasts from 38 countries in Minsk. The next World Cup is due in Kazan on 24-26 August. The 36th FIG Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Sofia will take place on 10-16 September.
