MINSK, 3 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Anastasiya Shkurdai won the 50m butterfly gold medal at the European Junior Swimming Championships in Netanya (Israel), BelTA has learned.
In her favorite 50m butterfly the Belarusian showed a good result of a good result of 26.75 seconds in the semifinals. In the final race, she covered the distance even faster for 26.53 seconds. Silver went to Polina Egorova of Russia ( 26.62 seconds). The bronze medalist was Sara Junevik from Sweden with 26.69 seconds.
In Netanya Team Belarus took 12th place in overall standings and set six Belarus national youth records.
