Belarus wins 10 gold medals at Para-Swimming European Championships in Dublin

MINSK, 20 August (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won ten gold medals at the 2018 World Para-Swimming Allianz European Championships in Dublin, Ireland, BelTA informs.

Ihar Boki clinched seven gold medals. The Belarusian won in the S13 Men's 100m Breaststroke and Butterfly, Men's 200m Individual Medley, Men's 400m Freestyle, Men's 100m backstroke and 50m Freestyle. Ihar Boki won the Men's 100m Freestyle with a world record of 50.65 seconds.

Grigory Zudilov claimed gold medals in the S11 Men's 50m and 100m Freestyle. Dmitry Salei clinched the European champion title in the S12 Men's 100m Butterfly.

Vladimir Izotov won silver in the Men's 100m Breaststroke. Three bronze medals were collected by Grigory Zudilov (Men's 200m Individual Medley), Anastasia Zudilova (S12 Women's 100m Breaststroke) and Aleksandra Svadkovskaya (S10 Women's 100m Breaststroke).

Belarus placed sixth in the medal table with 14 medals. Ukraine topped the chart with 106 (33 gold, 44 silver and 29 bronze) medals.
