Belarus victorious at 2018 Helicopter World Cup 4th Stage

MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – Belarusian pilots won in two disciplines at the 2018 Helicopter World Cup 4th Stage during the Minsk festival #PRONEBO, BelTA informs.

In the General Class, Belarus' Aleksei Mochansky and Anton Danchenko clinched gold in fender rigging. Second were Russia's Sergei Tupikov and Aleksei Pintelin. Poland's Maria Mus and Jakub Malec collected bronze. The Masters Class fender rigging podium was occupied by Russian crews. Belarus' Vladimir Bugayev and Andrei Rogonov claimed gold in the General Class Slalom. Silver went to Ukraine's Nikolai Deregus and Alexander Dovzhenko. Russia's Viktor Korotayev and Vladimir Zyablikov took bronze. Russian helicopter pilots were once again victorious in the Masters Class Slalom event.

Competing in the 2018 Helicopter World Cup 4th Stage were six countries: Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Poland, Austria, and Germany. After the qualifying round eight crews advanced to the final to compete in pairs. The aviation festival #PRONEBO was attended by thousands of visitors.

Belarus finished second in the 2018 FAI World Helicopter Championship which was also held in Minsk. Russia took gold in the team standings. Poland came in third. In the crew standings Maksim Sotnikov and Oleg Puodzhukas of Russia defended the champion title. Silver went to Russia's Andrei Orekhov and Vadim Sazonov. Bronze was collected by Belarus' Aleksei Mochansky and Anton Danchenko.
