MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – Belarus has climbed up seven points in the ITF Davis Cup Nations Ranking of 19 September, BelTA has learned.
Following a 4-1 win over Denmark, Belarus now places 38th in the recently published Davis Cup Rankings List. In the matches against Denmark, Belarus was represented by Max Mirnyi and young players Yaroslav Shilo, Ilya Ivashko and Yegor Gerasimov.
The rankings are topped by Great Britain. The top three also includes Argentina (second) and the Czech Republic (third). The Davis Cup Croatia-Argentina final will take place on 25-27 November.
Belarus will play in the Euro/Africa Zone Group I and will learn its opponents on 22 September. The 2017 Davis Cup draw ceremony will be held in London.
