Belarus to field 25 athletes at WAKO World Kickboxing Championships

MINSK, 4 November (BelTA) – The WAKO World Kickboxing Championships are scheduled to take place in Budapest, Hungary on 6-11 November. Belarus is expected to field 25 athletes, BelTA has learned.

Head coach of the Belarusian national martial arts team Mikhail Stepanov noted that this year the Belarusian athletes did not take part in the World Cup, but held a training camp ahead of the world's sport forum. He added that participating in the world championships will be many young athletes.

The Belarusian national team will also comprise well-known athletes: Elena Leshkevich, Veronika Dombrovskaya and Vladislav Sinitsky.

The competitions will feature more than 1,500 athletes from 65 countries.
