MINSK, 11 April, (BelTA) – Belarus and Slovakia national tennis teams' captains named the squads for the Fed Cup match which will be held in Minsk on 21-22 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Tennis Federation.
Tatiana Poutchek fielded four players: Aliaksandra Sasnovich (49th on the WTA rankings), Aryna Sabalenka (61st), Vera Lapko (130th) and Lydia Morozova (490th).
The Slovakian tennis leaders, Magdalena Rybarikova (17th WTA) and Dominica Cibulkova (33th WTA), are not coming to Minsk. The Slovakia team's captain Matej Liptak chose the following players: Viktoria Kuzmova (104th), Jana Cepelova (117th), Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (132nd) and Rebecca Sramkova (372nd).
The match will be held in Chizhovka Arena. This season Belarus lost to Germany (2:3) in the World Group quarterfinal. Slovakia was victorious in World Group II first round tie against Russia (4:1).
