Belarus lose to Switzerland at 2017 IIHF World Championship

MINSK, 11 May (BelTA) – Belarus suffered its fourth straight regulation loss at the 2017 IIHF World Championship after losing 0-3 to Switzerland 10 May, BelTA has learned.

Reto Schappi, Andres Ambuhl and Cody Almond scored for Switzerland.

The Group B standings are as follows: Canada – 9 points (three games played), Switzerland – 9 (4), Finland – 7 (4), Norway – 6 (3), France – 5 (3), the Czech Republic – 5 (3), Slovenia – 1 (4), Belarus – 0 (4).

Earlier, Dave Lewis' men lost to Finland (2-3), the Czech Republic (1-6), and Canada (0-6).

Belarus will play France on 12 May, Slovenia on 13 May, and Norway on 16 May.
