Belarus lose to Norway in Euro Challenge

MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) – Belarus lost 1-2 to Norway as part of the 2018 Euro Ice Hockey Challenge series, BelTA informs.

Norway opened the scoring through Thomas Olsen's effort on the 4th minute into the game. Belarus tied it up on the 42nd minute. Charles Linglet capitalized on a powerplay for 1-1. Seven minutes before the final hooter Stefan Espeland scored what turned to be the winner for Norway.

The teams will face each other again in Bobruisk on 28 April. The forthcoming game will be the final match for Belarus ahead of the 2018 IIHF World Championship which kicks off on 4 May.

Belarus will open the championship against Sweden in Denmark.
