MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) – Belarus' national football team is looking for victory in the UEFA Nations League and qualifying for UEFA EURO 2020, Chairman of the Belarusian Football Federation (BFF) Sergei Rumas noted on 14 March, BelTA informs.
Having finished in last place in the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group A, the Belarusian team produced a disappointing performance last year, Sergei Rumas remarked. However, the team had some good matches, including the one against Bulgaria, and gave hope to Belarusian fans.
Sergei Rumas said he believes in the coaching staff of the national team which is able to accomplish the tasks it has.
The inaugural UEFA Nations League is set to start in September. Led by Igor Kriushenko, Team Belarus will face San Marino, Luxembourg, and Moldova in League D Pot 2.More about Sport
