Belarus' Konstantin Kurovsky wins gold at 2017 IWF Youth World Championships

MINSK, 11 April (BelTA) – Konstantin Kurovsky of Belarus won a gold medal in the +94kg division at the 2017 IWF Youth World Championships in Bangkok, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian lifted 165kg in the snatch phase and 195kg in the clean and jerk stage to combine for the total of 360kg.

Dmitry Gogichayev of Russia lifted the total of 352kg (155kg+197kg) to claim silver. Bronze went to the Iranian athlete - 347kg (156kg+191kg).

Suzanna Volodko of Belarus (-58kg division) finished fourth in Bangkok. Ilya Zhernovsky placed fifth in the -69kg weight category.
