Belarus' Elvira Herman wins 100m Hurdles gold in Berlin

MINSK, 10 August (BelTA) – Elvira Herman of Belarus won gold in the women's 100m Hurdles event at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin, BelTA informs.

The Belarusian clocked 12.67 seconds to clinch the title. Pamela Dutkiewicz of Germany finished second in 12.72. Her fellow compatriot Cindy Roleder took bronze with 12.77. Alina Talay of Belarus disqualified.

Elvira Herman's gold became the fourth medal for Belarus at the 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin. Belarus is currently sixth in the medal table. In 2016 Elvira Herman won the 100m Hurdles gold at the IAAF World U20 Championships

The 2018 European Athletics Championships in Berlin will be over on 12 August.
