Belarus draw with Moldova in UEFA Nations League

MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – Belarus drew 0-0 with Moldova in the UEFA Nations League fixture in the Belarusian capital, BelTA has learned.

Both sides were denied by the woodwork in Minsk. Belarus dropped to second, a point behind Luxembourg and three ahead of third-placed Moldova.

In a postgame conference head coach of the Belarusian national team Igor Kriushenko expressed dissatisfaction that his team failed to take important points. He added, however, that in a month Belarus will face Luxembourg in a match that will decide the winner of the group.

Elsewhere, Luxembourg blanked San Marino 3-0.

The team standings in Group D2 (League D) are as follows: Luxembourg – 9 points, Belarus – 8, Moldova – 5, and San Marino – 0.

Belarus will next face Luxembourg on 15 November while San Marino will play Moldova. Then San Marino will take on Belarus on 18 November while Moldova will play Luxembourg.
