Belarus claims 11 medals at Marina Lobach rhythmic gymnastics tournament

MINSK, 27 March (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won 11 medals at the 15th edition of the international rhythmic gymnastics tournament for the prizes of Olympic champion Marina Lobach that took place at the Minsk Palace of Sports on 25-26 March, BelTA has learned.

The senior Individual All-Around event was won by Yulia Yevchik. Silver went to Maria Pavlova of Russia. Fellow Belarusian Yulia Isachenko placed third.

In the junior group Anastasia Salos claimed gold medals in the Loop and Ball events. She was second in the Clubs routine and third in the Ribbons event. Yana Striga, Darya Deshkovskaya and Anna Kamenshchikova were also among medal winners.

Belarus won the junior Ten Clubs team routine, with Estonia and Russia placing behind.

The competitions at the Minsk Palace of Sports gathered more than 140 athletes aged 9-16 from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine, Latvia, Estonia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Israel, Hungary and the Czech Republic.
