Belarus claim 7 medals at FIG World Challenge Cup 2019 in Portugal

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – Belarusian athletes won seven medals at the FIG World Challenge Cup 2019 in Portimao, Portugal, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian team of Arina Tsitsilina, Anastasiya Rybakova, Karina Yermolenko, Anna Shvaiba, Anna Gaidukevich and Arina Sushchinskaya won the Hoops and Clubs routines, surpassing Italy and Japan. Belarus also won the Balls and All-Around bronze medals.

Alina Harnasko clinched the Individual All-Around bronze. Russia's Aleksandra Soldatova won the event. Silver went to Italy's Milena Baldassarri.

Anastasiya Salos and Alina Harnasko won silver and bronze correspondingly in the Hoop routine. Gold went to Italy's Alexandra Agiurgiuculese. Anastasiya Salos claimed another bronze in the Clubs routine.

Competing in the FIG World Challenge Cup 2019 in Portimao were more than 100 athletes from 37 countries. The Belarusian athletes continue preparations for the 2019 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships in Baku (16-22 September).
