MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – The jury has announced the results of the contest to choose a music theme for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2nd European Games MINSK 2019, BelTA learned from the website of the Culture Ministry.
The song Winners (music by Leonid Shirin, lyrics by Aleksei Shirin) scored the highest. It was followed by the entry Bright Year, Bright You (music by Evgeny Oleinik, lyrics by Svetlana Geraskova). The third place was given to the song Champion (music and lyrics by Dmitry Karyakin and Vladimir Karyakin (Litesound Band).
The jury was chaired by People's Artist of Belarus Vasily Rainchik. The jury included well-known Belarusian singers, composers, representatives of the Minsk European Games Organizing Committee (MEGOC), the National Olympic Committee of Belarus, the Sport and Tourism Ministry, the Culture Ministry, the National State TV and Radio Company of Belarus.
The authors of music and lyrics will be given prize money.
