MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) – The football federations of Belarus and Azerbaijan have agreed on a friendly between the national teams in Baku on 23 March, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Football Federation.
Belarus and Azerbaijan played each other only once before. The two teams drew 2-2 in Molodechno in May 1996. Belarus was ranked 93rd in the FIFA January Rankings. Azerbaijan is currently 118th.
After the game in the Azerbaijani capital, Igor Kriushenko's men will travel to Ljubljana to face Slovenia, curently 64th, on 27 March.
