MINSK, 30 July (BelTA) – Aliaksandra Sasnovich of Belarus has climbed up to her record-high 35th place in the WTA rankings, BelTA has learned.
Last week, the Belarusian was 42nd and jumped up seven spots after reaching the Moscow River Cup semifinal. Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus is 36th now.
Vera Lapko is currently placed 69th. Victoria Azarenka is 108th. This week they are playing at the tournament in San Jose, the United States. Victoria Azarenka will open against Ukraine's world number 56 Kateryna Bondarenko, Vera Lapko will face China's world number 32 Zhang Shuai.
