Azarenka wins 2018 Tokyo opener

MINSK, 18 September (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 63 Victoria Azarenka registered a 6-4, 7-5 win over Japan's world number 125 Kurumi Nara to reach the round of Last 16 at the 2018 Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, BelTA has learned.

The game lasted for an hour and 52 minutes.

Victoria Azarenka will next play Australia's Ashleigh Barty, number 17 in the world.

Earlier, Belarus' world number 31 Aliaksandra Sasnovich lost to Russia's world number 28 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova 3-6, 4-6.
