MINSK, 20 September (BelTA) – Belarus' world number 63 Victoria Azarenka defeated Australia's Ashleigh Barty, the world number 17, 6-4, 6-2 to reach the third round of the 2018 Toray Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, BelTA has learned.
In the Tokyo opener the Belarusian saw off Japan's world number 125 Kurumi Nara 6-4, 7-5.
In the round of Last 8 Victoria Azarenka will play either Denmark's Caroline Wozniacki or Italy's Camila Giorgi.
