Athletes from eight countries to compete in Belarus' Open Athletics Championships

MINSK, 17 July (BelTA) - Belarus' Open Athletics Championships will be held at the renovated Dinamo Stadium on 20-21 July, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Athletics Federation.

Competing in the event will be about 400 athletes from Belarus, Iran, Iraq, Australia, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Israel, Denmark and Lithuania.

Belarus plans to field a strong team: Alina Talay in the 100m hurdles, Krystsina Tsimanouskaya in the 100m, Tatsiana Khaladovich in javelin throw, Maksim Nedasekau in high jump.

The total prize fund of Belarus' Open Athletics Championships is more than Br42,000. The event will be a test of strength before the European Athletics Championships in Berlin on 7-12 August.
