MINSK, 15 June (BelTA) – Aryna Sabalenka of Belarus reached the women's singles quarterfinal at the Rosmalen Grass Court Championships in Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands, BelTA informs.
In the round of Last 16 Belarus' Aryna Sabalenka, ranked 46 in the world, faced Australia's Ajla Tomljanovic (World No.71). The Belarusian lost the first set 3-6 and took revenge in the second 7-6 (7-5). The deciding set was postponed until 15 June due to bad weather. The game was completed with 6-0 in favor of the Belarusian player. Aryna Sabalenka will next face either Kirsten Flipkens of Belgium or Kiki Bertens of Belgium.
Later, Aryna Sabalenka and Russia's Veronika Kudermetova will take on Belgium's Elise Mertens and Demi Schuurs of the Netherlands in the women's doubles quarterfinal. In case Sabalenka and Kudermetova win, they will face Marozava and Kerkhove in the semifinal.
