Arina Sobolenko of Belarus reaches quarterfinals in St Petersburg

MINSK, 21 September (BelTA) - Arina Sobolenko of Belarus has advanced to the Neva Cup quarterfinals in St Petersburg, BelTA has learned.

In the round of last 16 the Belarusian beat Russia's Viktoriya Kamenskaya 6-2, 6-4. Vera Lapko of Belarus was defeated by Dayana Yastremskaya 3-6, 3-6.

Arina Sobolenko will face Vera Lapko's rival in the next round.

Aleksandra Sasnovich of Belarus won the Neva Cup in St Petersburg in 2012.

Max Mirnyi of Belarus and Austria's Philipp Oswald went off to a good start in Metz, France defeated Santiago Gonzalez of Mexico and Nenad Zimonjic of Serbia 6-4, 7-6 (7-5).
