MINSK, 9 March (BelTA) – Belarusian freestyle skier Anton Kushnir will have to miss the 2017 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships in Sierra Nevada, BelTA has learned.
The Olympic champion in Sochi has not been included into the Belarusian team for the world's sports forum. Due to a back injury, Anton Kushnir decided to call it a season. He had already missed the two FIS Aerials World Cups in Raubichi and Moscow.
The Belarusian finished the season third in the FIS Freestyle Skiing World Cup standings, with the total of 308 points.
The 2017 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard World Championships will run in Sierra Nevada on 9-10 March.
