Alina Talay second at Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Poland

MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – Alina Talay of Belarus finished second in the 100m Hurdles at the Kamila Skolimowska Memorial in Warsaw, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian clocked 12.90 seconds to claim silver. At the IAAF World Championships 2017 in London she covered the distance in 12.81 seconds to finish sixth.

The event in the Polish capital was won by Sharika Nelvis of the United States. Her time is 12.65 seconds. Bronze went to Karolina Koleczek of Poland (13.26 seconds). World championships medalist Pamela Dutkiewicz of Germany failed to finish.

Alena Dubitskaya of Belarus won the shot-put event in Warsaw. Her result is 17.90m. A week earlier her result of 17.68m was not enough to qualify for the final at the IAAF World Championships 2017 in London.
