Aliaksandra Ramanouskaya clinches gold at the FIS World Championships 2019

MINSK, 7 February (BelTA) – Belarusian aerial skier Aliaksandra Ramanouskaya won gold at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2019 which is underway in Park City, the United States, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian finished with a score of 113.18 points. Russia's Lyubov Nikitina placed second with 89.88 points. China's Xu Mengtao scored the same as the Russian aerial skier, but placed third because of additional parameters.

This is the first gold medal for Aliaksandra Ramanouskaya at the senior level. Earlier, the Belarusian was victorious at the junior worlds twice. Aliaksandra Ramanouskaya also won gold at the Lake Placid World Cup in January 2015.

The men's event in Deer Valley was won by Russia's Maxim Burov with a score of 130.09 points. Second was Ukraine's Oleksandr Abramenko (126.24 points). Bronze went to Noe Roth of Switzerland (125.22 points).

Sochi 2014 Olympic champion Anton Kushnir from Belarus placed eighth with 114.93 points. His teammates Dzmitry Mazurkevich and Maxim Gustik finished 16th (93.55) and 20th (79.74) respectively.

One of the leaders of the Belarusian women's national team, Pyeongchang 2018 Olympic champion Hanna Huskova had to skip the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2019 due to an injury.
