SARAJEVO, 18 January (BelTA - FENA) - More than 90 works of art from the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina collection are now available to people around the world via the Internet on Google Arts & Culture app, a result of collaboration between Google and the Gallery, the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated.
Thanks to digital exhibitions, users will be able to see works from the permanent exhibition of the Gallery, a large number of paintings by Đoko Mazalić and many other treasures from the collection in just a few clicks.
Virtual exhibitions are specially designed and adapted for online visitors, and the experts from the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina have prepared four of them.
Director of the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Strajo Krsmanović, said that he was very pleased with the cooperation between the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Google Cultural Institute, the Art Gallery of Bosnia and Herzegovina stated.
“We have the opportunity to step out of the physically imposed barriers of the building and show the wealth of our holdings to the audience in the virtual world to the extent that we cannot do in the Gallery. For now, 99 works and four digital exhibitions have been set up, but we are working on complementing the digital collection and the implementation of new exhibitions,” said Mr. Krsmanović.More about Society
