MINSK, 31 August (BelTA) – The number of Belarusian tourists to Vietnam has increased by 65% since the visa abolition agreement entered into force, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Vietnam to Belarus Le Anh told a press conference on 31 August, BelTA has learned.
“Vietnam introduced a visa-free access for Belarusian citizens on 1 July 2015. Since then the number of Belarusian tourists to Vietnam has soared by 65%,” Ambassador Le Anh said.
As was informed, from 1 July 2015 citizens of the Republic of Belarus that visit Vietnam for a period of up to 15 days do not have to apply for a visa regardless of the passport type and the purpose of the visit. A visa-free regime for Belarusians making short trips to Vietnam will be valid for five years through 30 June 2020.
