Vice Governor: Cooperation with Belarus' regions among priorities for Russia's Bryansk Oblast

MOGILEV, 21 September (BelTA) - Cooperation with the Belarusian regions is among priorities for Russia's Bryansk Oblast, Vice Governor of the Russian region Vladimir Oborotov said as he addressed the Youth Forum of Bryansk Oblast and Mogilev Oblast on 21 September, BelTA has learned.

“Cooperation between Russia's Bryansk Oblast and Belarus has been gaining momentum in all areas. Our good-neighborly relations grow stronger, trade is on the rise. We enjoy close ties in education, science and culture. We pay special attention to youth policy. Because it is the young people who will build the future Union State, strengthen and develop our relations for the benefit of the two countries,” Vladimir Oborotov noted.

The Youth Forum should give a new impetus to cooperation between Bryansk Oblast and Mogilev Oblast, the vice governor believes. “We would like to see more youth and student exchanges, joint work of student teams, volunteers, projects in science and education and more vigorous student tourism,” he said.

According to Mogilev Oblast Governor Vladimir Domanevsky, cooperation between Mogilev Oblast and Bryansk Oblast is reaching a new level, including in youth affairs. “In my opinion, the main task for today's youth is to strengthen the ties of fraternity and neighborliness between our nations,” the governor said.

In his words, the forum will help work out concrete areas of cooperation and assist the development of cooperation between the youth organizations of Mogilev Oblast and Bryansk Oblast in different areas. He wished forum participants every success in their work.

Young people made reports on the conditions created in their regions for self-fulfillment. The forum continued with thematic sessions.
