Union State program Paritet almost ready

MINSK, 18 January (BelTA) – The Union State program “Improving the system of protection of information resources of the Union State and the states parties to the Union State Treaty in the context of growing threats to information security (“Paritet”)” is almost ready, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota told the media prior to a meeting with representatives of the Belarusian governmental customers of the programs in defense, security, law enforcement, military-technical cooperation and defense industry, BelTA has learned.

“The coordination of the Union State program Paritet is almost complete. The decision on the matter will be made by the Union State Council of Ministers within the next two months,” said Grigory Rapota.

In his words, an innovative product is the result of many Union State programs. “The Union State military programs also have sci-tech elements. This practice has proved its worth and is seen as a useful activity in the development of science and equipment in both the countries,” the State Secretary of the Union State said.

The meeting will consider progress made in the implementation of the Union State programs in the areas of defense, security, law enforcement, military-technical cooperation and defense industry in 2017. The participants of the meeting will also discuss the drafting of concepts for the Union State new programs and events in the above-mentioned areas, and also the Belarusian-Russian cooperation in sci-tech and military-technical sectors. Taking part in the meeting are representatives of law enforcement agencies of Belarus, ministries of industry, economy, finance, and education, Belneftekhim Concern, the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, and the Standing Committee of the Union State.
