Union State MPs to map out strategic guidelines in healthcare

MINSK, 16 March (BelTA) – Setting out strategic guidelines in healthcare will be the main theme of a meeting of the Belarus-Russia Union State Parliamentary Assembly's regular seminar on the Union State development. The meeting will be held in Belgorod on 28-29 March, BelTA has learned from the assembly's press service.

“The Parliamentary Assembly will discuss a wide range of issues of Belarus-Russia cooperation in healthcare, innovative technologies, diagnostic methods, prevention and treatment of different diseases. The agenda will also include the regulations in the field of healthcare in the light of Belarusian and Russian legislation. The experts will put forward their proposals regarding the strategic guidelines of the Union State's mid-term healthcare policy for 2018-2022,” the press service noted.

At the end of the seminar the participants will sign a final document outlining recommendations for the relevant institutions, ministries and bodies of Belarus and Russia.

Partaking in the event will be MPs of the Union State Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the Union State Permanent Committee, relevant ministries of Belarus and Russia, institutions, research centers, universities and media working in the field of healthcare and local authorities.
