MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) - Traveler tax refund is now available at Minsk National Airport, BelTA learned from the press service of the airport.
“A new tax refund office has opened at Minsk National Airport. It is located in the area of Duty Free shops near gates 2-3,” the press service noted.
The airport stressed that many countries use the mechanism for returning the value added tax to foreign citizens for purchased goods, which contributes to the growth of trade and tourism. “Belarus launched the VAT refund system in 2013. Its operator is Beltamozhservice company. Currently, more than 400 stores have joined the Tax Free System in Belarus,” the press service noted.
Minsk National Airport is Belarus' first international airport that has been certified in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001. The airport offers flights to over 40 destinations in Europe, the Middle East, and other regions.More about Society
