MINSK, 12 October (BelTA) - A delegation of Belarus' Armed Forces headed by Defense Minister Andrei Ravkov is attending a regular meeting of the CIS Council of Defense Ministers in Tashkent on 12 October, BelTA learned from the ministry.
The parties are expected to exchange opinions about topical issues of international and regional security, including joint events of the CIS armed forces dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. “Herman Aleksandrov, head of the Armed Forces department for the use of the Belarusian airspace, will make a report on cooperation in the area of aviation operations of the CIS armed forces,” the defense ministry noted.
The heads of the delegations will take stock of the activities of the council to develop military cooperation in 2018 and sign a plan of action for 2019.
