MINSK, 17 February (BelTA) – Spanish investment, research and technology organizations showed interest in Belarusian solutions in the area of new materials and additive technologies, and also in new magnetic materials and products made from them that were on display at Transfiere 2017, the 6th European Meeting for Science, Technology and Innovation in Malaga, Spain on 15 and 16 February, BelTA learned from the press service of the State Science and Technology Committee (SSTC) of Belarus.
Some of the Belarusian magnetic materials solutions can be successfully used by Spanish manufacturers of rail vehicles. Solutions designed by the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus in the field of agricultural production, catalysts, non-destructive control methods, and information and communication technology also drew considerable attention from visitors to the expo.
Hi-tech projects and developments by Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics and Belarusian National Technical University displayed at Transfiere 2017 drew interest from eleven companies from Spain, Brazil and the United Kingdom. Company representatives and Belarusian exhibitors discussed matters related to the patent law in the European Union, the use of research and radioelectronic equipment, and joint scientific research, including within the framework of the EU's Horizon 2020 program. Plans have been made to post information about the projects by the Belarusian universities on the website of the Association of Science and Technology Parks of Spain.
The innovative project of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection of Belarus to develop an automated system of radiation control in the Belarusian nuclear power plant area and provide the data on the basis of the European Radiological Data Exchange Platform (EURDEP) also enjoyed great interest at Transfiere 2017.
A Belarusian delegation led by SSTC Chairman Alexander Shumilin took part in Transfiere 2017 on 15 and 16 February. The expo showcased over 100 hi-tech and knowledge-intensive solutions and exhibits by organizations and institutions of the Belarusian Education Ministry, the National Academy of Sciences and the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection.More about Society
