MINSK, 11 January (BelTA) – The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) and the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) have announced a 2018 contest for the prize named after Academician Valentin Koptyug, BelTA learned from the NASB press service.
The prize is awarded to Belarusian and Russian scientists in recognition of the outstanding results of joint research under state programs and for joint works, discoveries, and inventions of great scientific and practical importance.
The joint works submitted to the competition shall be completed or published during the year prior to the competition. Those who want to apply shall submit the original work (series of works), the copies of discovery or invention-related materials, a description of the work, justify its importance for scientific and economic development, and provide the information about the authors. The application deadline is 1 March.
The award named after Valentin Koptyug, RAS Vice President, Chairman of the RAS Siberian Branch, a NASB foreign member, was established in 1999 by the presidiums of the NASB and the RAS Siberian Branch, which take turns every other year to award the prize. The NASB Presidium is to present the prize in 2018.More about Society
