Scenarios of 2019 European Games ceremonies to be ready by 25 October

MINSK, 9 October (BelTA) - The scenarios of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2nd European Games 2019 will be ready by 25 October, composer, producer, People's Artist of Russia Igor Krutoy told BelTA.

A cooperation agreement between Belarusian State Philharmonic and the Art City 5 company was signed in Minsk on 9 October. The document was signed by General Director of the Belarusian State Philharmonic Alexander Garbar and general producer of the Art City 5 company Igor Krutoy.

“The scenarios of the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2nd European Games 2019 will be ready by 25 October. They will be further polished in Minsk, during a week. Some changes may be made. With regard to how much time we need to prepare for an event of this scale, I would like to note that it took us two years to prepare for the 27th Summer Universiade in Kazan, as long for the FINA World Championships in Kazan. The more time we have to think everything through the better. But I am sure that we have enough time until the second half of June to prepare and hold this sporting event at a good professional level,” said Igor Krutoy.

“Any event of this level is first of all responsibility. Everything will be rehearsed before the general run-throughs,” the producer stressed.

The Art City 5 organizes turnkey mass cultural events. The company has organized many large-scale musical projects, international cultural sport events including opening and closing ceremonies of such projects as the 2011 Asian Winter Games in Astana, the 2013 Summer Universiade in Kazan, the 2015 2015 FINA World Championships in Kazan, the New Wave and New Wave Junior song contests, the Pesnya Goda televised music festival, concerts of Russian singers. The Art City 5 projects received awards and notes of acknowledgement in Russia and Kazakhstan.

The 2nd European Games will take place in Minsk on 21-30 June 2019. Over 4,000 athletes will compete in 201 medal events in 23 disciplines representing 15 sports. The forum is expected to welcome about 18,000 official participants. The competitions will be broadcast in 160 countries.
