Russian, Uzbek spec ops forces come to Belarus for competition

MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – A special operations forces competition involving teams from Russia and Uzbekistan has begun in Belarus, representatives of the Belarusian Defense Ministry told BelTA.

The competition is scheduled to take place in Maryina Gorka, Pukhovichi District, Minsk Oblast on 24-28 September. Teams from Russia and Uzbekistan are taking part in it, too. The competition features an individual event, a team event, and a duel shooting. The individual event will feature exercises for sniper pairs, individual shooters, and combat medics. The duel shooting will include two stages. Sniper pairs from each team will compete in the first stage. Two shooters from each team will compete in the second stage.

The special operations forces of the Belarusian army will be represented by three teams. The competition is supposed to improve professional skills of its participants, maintain and encourage high moral and combat qualities, physical endurance and psychological resilience. It will also help share the best practices.
