Russian reporters to visit Belarusian nuclear power plant construction site

MOSCOW, 15 August (BelTA) – Representatives of Russian mass media and mass media of the Union State of Belarus and Russia will visit the Belarusian nuclear power plant as part of the media tour focusing on Belarus-Russia interaction in nuclear energy. The media tour will take place on 23-24 August, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia told BelTA.

On the first day of the media tour the reporters will travel to the Belarusian town of Ostrovets. They will visit the nuclear power plant information center and will be made familiar how the town where the Belarusian nuclear power plant's personnel will reside is being developed and expanded. The reporters will also meet with representatives of the construction brigade of Belarusian and Russian university students. Then the reporters will visit the nuclear power plant's construction site.

On the second day of the media tour the reporters will visit the energy and nuclear research institute Sosny of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) where they will meet with Belarusian nuclear scientists. Topical aspects of nuclear energy industry development will be discussed.

The media tour has been organized by the Standing Committee of the Union State of Belarus and Russia and the National Press Center of Belarus.
