Russian drama theater to come to Minsk

MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) –The Stavropol Academic Drama Theater will be on a tour in Minsk from 29 September to 8 October, BelTA learned from the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theater.

The Stavropol Academic Drama Theater will come to Minsk to open its 173rd theater season. The first day will start with the Falcons and Crows play by Alexander Sumbatov-Yuzhin.

The playbill includes the apocalyptic comedy Suitcase by Yuri Polyakov, the lyric comedy Anyone Called for Bridegroom? by Andrei Ivanov and Marc Camoletti's Boeing Boeing. The plays produced by Valentin Biryukov, Director of the Theater, Honored Arts Worker of Russia, have become real hits.

The audience will see two performances produced by People's Artist of Russia Natalya Zubkova such as Robin Howdon's comedy Perfect Wedding and Les Liaisons Dangereuses by Christopher Hampton.

The tour will finish on 8 October with the hilarious comedy with funny adventures Aunts-in-Law scripted by Alexander Korovkin and directed by Mikhail Kovalchik, Chief Director of the Belarusian State Academic Musical Theater and Honored Arts Worker of Russia.

The tour will star such prominent actors and actresses as the People's Artist of Russia Natalya Zubkova, Russia's honored artists Vladimir Allakhverdov, Svetlana Kolganova, Mikhail Novakov, Alexander Rostov, Boris Shcherbakov, and other artists. Young artists who have already showed themselves in different plays will also come for the tour.
