BREST, 29 April (BelTA) – The Russian Center for Science and Culture has launched a retrospective screening of war films in Brest, BelTA learned from Director of the center, Head of the Rossotrudnichestvo Department Yelena Maslova.
The event is marking the 72nd anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The program will include more than 20 new and Soviet-time films. These are The Dawns Here Are Quiet, The Immortal Garrison, Ballad of a Soldier, The Cranes Are Flying, Triumph Over Violence, Hot Snow, Normandie-Niemen, Fate of a Man, and also Panfilov's 28 Men and Brest Fortress.
The auditory of the Russian Center for Science and Culture is designed for 40 people. The film screening is free of charge and is usually held once a day. Film screenings cater, first of all, for children and the youth: school, lyceum and university students.
The retrospective screening of war films is organized by the center for the third time. This year's cultural campaign will last through June.
