Prosecutor general's offices of Belarus, Uzbekistan sign agreement on cooperation

MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – The prosecutor general's offices of Belarus and Uzbekistan have signed an agreement on cooperation, BelTA learned from the website of the Belarusian Prosecutor General's Office, following the working meeting between Prosecutor Generals of the two countries Alexander Konyuk and Ixtiyor Abullayev in Tashkent.

The document envisages cooperation between the public prosecution bodies of Belarus and Uzbekistan in protecting the people's rights and freedoms, exchanging the working experience, combating crimes, including terrorism, corruption, arms and drugs traffic, illegal migration, and trafficking in persons.

The agreement will promote further strengthening of cooperation in the initial inquiry, consideration of applications from individuals and legal entities, and also the exchange of information related to the crime prevention and detection.
