Positive performance of Belarusian law enforcement agencies in H1 2017

MINSK, 27 July (BelTA) – Results of the work done by Belarusian law enforcement and power-wielding agencies in H1 2017 are positive across the board. State Secretary of the Security Council of Belarus Stanislav Zas told media after the government session held by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko on 27 July, BelTA has learned.

Stanislav Zas said: “We've informed the head of state about the work of all the Belarusian power-wielding agencies in the first half of the year. All the government agencies in charge of national security worked as usual. Their daily performance was not degraded. Results in all the main areas of activity are positive.”

Stanislav Zas mentioned the overall falling crime rate in Belarus, with the number of murders, robberies, thefts on the decline. The number of road accidents and fires and the number of their victims dropped in comparison with the same period of last year.

“The protection of the state border, the performance of the customs service, including the reduction of things to order in personnel matters, have improved,” pointed out the official.
