MINSK, 19 October (BelTA) – Pope Francis welcomed the participants of the 10th Eurasian Economic Forum in Verona on 19 October. The pontiff's greeting speech was read out by host of the opening ceremony Alessandro Cassieri, TASS informs.
“I greet the participants of the economic forum in Verona. I hope it will help strengthen of ties between the participating countries at all the levels,” the message says.
The 10th Eurasian Economic Forum, which gathers outstanding politicians and businessmen, opened in Verona on 19 October. The forum is organized by the Conoscere Eurasia Association, Roscongress Foundation and the St Petersburg International Economic Forum.
In 2017 the theme of the forum is Greater Eurasia as a driving force in the current international geopolitical and economic context.
