MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) – A Polish inspection team has examined a Belarusian army unit, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Defense Ministry website.
A team of Polish inspectors visited the 111th Guards Artillery Brigade on 28 November - 2 December in line with the Belarusian-Polish agreement signed to expand upon the Vienna Document of the Negotiations on Confidence and Security-Building Measures.
The Polish inspectors evaluated information about the personnel numbers in the Belarusian army unit, the main armament systems and military hardware. Belarus made the information available within the framework of the Vienna Document. The Polish inspectors also examined a specified area in Belarus. In the specified area the inspectors confirmed the lack of military activities, which are subject to preliminary notification in accordance with the bilateral agreement.
