GRODNO, 23 June (BelTA) – Peace and concord have become one of Belarus' brands, Pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Grodno Vladimir Tatarnikov told BelTA as he commented on the results of the 5th Belarusian People's Congress.
“The fact that Belarus has managed to preserve peace and concord between various ethnicities and confessions in the country has been emphasized at the People's Congress by different speakers. It is a big achievement. It has become the country's brand in the international arena, especially in our current turbulent times,” said Vladimir Tatarnikov.
He stressed that peace and concord in the country helps channel the people's energy into creative activities.
“We should not forget that peaceful coexistence of different ethnicities and confessions helps adopt the best things from every culture, which benefits the overall development of people. We should continue following the principles of tolerance and mutual respect,” Vladimir Tatarnikov stressed.
