NTA publishes tourist guide with top 100 things to do in Belarus

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – The National Tourism Agency (NTA) has published a guide with top 100 things to do in Belarus, Irina Gordiyenko, the head of the marketing department at the NTA, told reporters on 23 January, BelTA has learned.

The product is marketed as a unique guide that helps visitors get the most vivid impressions of Belarus. “These 100 secrets have been carefully selected by the locals wishing to help tourists learn more about Belarus and find something to their liking,” representatives of the NTA said.

Tourists are invited to visit different parts of the country, from Zybitskaya Street, the favorite hangout location for young people in Minsk, to the museum of old things in the attic of a house in Ivye. The guide indicates the ‘magic' spots where tourists usually make wishes, and the points that offer the best views of Minsk and other places in Belarus. The authors also included information about Belarus' IT brands: the guide invites readers to take a picture with a tank in Belarus, the country where the legendary World of Tanks game is developed, and make selfies with Belarusian landmarks using the MSQRD app.

Belarus also gives an opportunity to get closer to the nature, do some berry and mushroom picking, enjoy birds singing in the forest, take bike rides, make flower crowns and watch the sun rise over a lake. The guide also offers such unusual overnight stay options as a hayloft or a floating hotel.

Enthusiasts of culinary tourism are invited to try dishes of the national cuisine, take part in harvesting apples, and learn to tap birch sap.

For the reader's convenience, the 100 tourism options are sorted into four sections: spring, summer, autumn and winter. The guide will be available in eight languages, including Russian, Polish, German, English, French, Chinese, Arabic, and Hebrew.
