No Belarusians among London terror attack victims

MINSK, 24 March (BelTA) - There are no Belarusian nationals among those affected by a terrorist incident in London's Westminster, First Secretary of the Belarusian embassy in the UK Kirill Zemtsov told the ONT TV channel, BelTA has learned.

“According to the data provided by the police, no Belarusians have been affected by the terror attack. We advise our citizens, however, against visiting mass events in the country and, if there is such a need, contact the embassy,” said Kirill Zemtsov.

According to media reports, on 22 March an attacker drove a car into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge, killing two people, before crashing it outside parliament and trying to enter the complex armed with two knives. He stabbed an unarmed police officer who later died from the injuries. The police officer was identified as PC Keith Palmer, 48, who had 15 years of service with the parliamentary and diplomatic protection service. Armed police then shot the attacker. Police say dozens were injured in the incident and were treated in hospital, several of whom are in a critical condition.
