New website highlighting tourism opportunities in Belarus goes online

MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – Belarus has launched a new tourism portal belarus.travel, Anastasia Shatkevich, senior specialist at the Information Support Department of the National Tourism Agency (NTA), said on 23 January, BelTA has learned.

“This year, we have updated the website of the National Tourism Agency designed for specialists, and have also launched the portal belarus.travel. Now the NTA has two tools for promoting tourism: the NTA website designed for the domestic market, travel agencies and tour guides, and the belarus.travel portal for promoting the country abroad,” Anastasia Shatkevich said.

The information on the website will soon be available in several languages. For now, all the information is in Russian only. “The website has just been launched. In the next month and a half, we will be filling it with content,” Anastasia Shatkevich noted.

The portal allows for tailoring the presentation of the information on the page to the preferences of the target audience placing the focus on agro/ecotourism, sports tourism, or music festivals.
