MINSK, 17 March (BelTA) –Belarus' representative at the 2017 Eurovision Song Contest, the duo Naviband will not be able to perform at the pre-party in Moscow on 21 April because of the busy schedule, spokesperson for the Belarusian TV and Radio Company (Belteleradiocompany) Svetlana Smolonskaya-Kraskovskaya told BelTA.
According to the spokesperson, Naviband will have a big solo performance unplugged in the Palace of Culture of Trade Unions in Minsk on 22 April. “This is the first solo concert of the duo. They have spent a lot of time to prepare for it. To let more people see the concert, it will be recorded for the TV broadcast. That is why there will be a dress rehearsal on 21 April, as it is practised at the Eurovision,” Svetlana Smolonskaya-Kraskovskaya said. She added that the forthcoming gig in Minsk is going to be a symbolic farewell of the Belarusian band before their departure for the Eurovision.
“Their schedule is really busy. Since 8 March, they had a Belarusian tour. Today the band is in Gomel, tomorrow they will be in Novopolotsk. We are getting on well with the organizers of the Moscow pre-party, and Belarus' representatives took great pleasure to perform at the event in the previous years,” Svetlana Smolonskaya-Kraskovskaya stressed.
